We are a privately held corporation founded in 1989 by the current CEO, G. Gary Chaffin, as a telecommunications and interactive voice response company. Recently, Stargate made another natural progression, into the arena of colocation and data center solutions. In the fall of 2007, we opened the 86,000 square foot Stargate Tier III+ Data Center. After continued success and growth, in 2008 Stargate was acquired by parent company Managed Data Holdings, a privately held firm aimed at operation of state-of-the-art data centers across Tier I and Tier II markets in the US. This transaction positions Stargate as an important cornerstone in the Managed Data Holdings portfolio, providing a foundation for MDH virtualization strategies and the extension of the company’s high density implementations and disaster recovery solutions.
